There is no setup screen: the first version appears immediately with sensible defaults, and every option re-lays the document straight away.

You control the page from a few simple choices. Page size is A4 or Letter. Margins are narrow, normal, or wide. The text can be set in Helvetica, Times Roman, or Courier, at 10, 11, 12, or 14 point, with single, one and a half, or double line spacing. Blank lines and leading spaces are kept, and tabs expand to four spaces, so indented notes and paragraph breaks survive the conversion. Characters a standard font cannot draw are replaced with a question mark rather than breaking the file, so even messy pasted text produces a valid PDF.
