Terms
By using Super Boring Tools you agree to what follows. It is short, because there is not much to agree to.
Using the tools
Every tool here is free. There is no account, no sign-up, and no limit on how often you use one. You can use the output in commercial work without asking us and without paying us.
No warranty
The tools are provided as-is, with no guarantee that they are accurate, available, or fit for what you have in mind. Everything runs inside your browser, so results depend on your device, your browser, and how much memory it can spare. A large file on an old phone may fail in ways it would not on a desktop.
So: keep your own copy of anything you care about before you put it through a tool, and check the output before you rely on it. Nothing here should be the only copy of anything.
Liability
We are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site, including lost or damaged files, lost work, lost time, or a decision you made based on a tool's output. If you are unhappy with the site, the remedy is to stop using it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Acceptable use
- Don't attack, overload, or try to break the site or the people using it.
- Don't use the tools on material that is illegal to possess or distribute where you are.
- Don't scrape the site to spin up a copy of it.
Who owns what
Whatever you put into a tool is yours, and so is whatever comes out. We never see either, so we could not claim anything even if we wanted to. The site's name, design, wording, and code stay ours.
Other sites
Some pages link out to other sites, and some load code or ads from other companies. We don't control any of them and we are not responsible for what they do. Their terms and privacy policies apply once you are on their side of the line. The privacy policy lists who they are.
Changes
These terms can change. There is no mailing list to notify, so the last-updated date below is the signal. Using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
