How to repeat text online

  1. Enter your text

Type or paste the text you want to repeat into the input box at the top.

  2. Set the repeat count

Enter how many copies to make, from one up to the ten thousand cap.

  3. Choose a separator and numbering

Pick a new line, space, comma, or no gap between copies, and turn on numbering to label each copy.

  4. Copy the result

The repeated text updates as you type, so click Copy to clipboard once it looks right.

Why use this tool

Four separator styles

Join the copies with a new line, a space, a comma, or nothing at all. The separator is only inserted between copies, never before the first or after the last.

Optional numbering

Prefix each copy with its position, so 1., 2., 3. and on. Pair numbering with the new line separator to build a ready made numbered list.

Live output as you type

The result rebuilds instantly on every change to the text, count, separator, or numbering, with a running copy and character count above it.

A safety cap on huge counts

Very large counts are limited to ten thousand copies so the page stays responsive, and a note tells you when the cap or the length limit applied.

About this tool

This repeat text generator takes whatever you type and outputs it a set number of times. You control what sits between the copies: a new line puts each copy on its own row, a space or comma keeps them on a single line, and none joins them with nothing in between. The separator is only inserted between copies, so there is no stray character before the first copy or after the last one.

Turn on numbering to prefix every copy with its position, starting at one, which is handy for drafting numbered lists, seeding rows for a spreadsheet, or generating quick test data. It is equally useful for padding a document to a length, repeating a snippet of markup, or stacking a keyword. Counts are capped at ten thousand copies to keep the page fast, and a very long string is trimmed to a length limit; either way a note tells you what happened and how many copies you got.

Your text never leaves the page, and the whole thing keeps working offline once loaded. If you need placeholder paragraphs instead of a repeated string, try the lorem ipsum generator. To measure the result, the word counter reports totals, and find and replace can swap parts of the repeated text afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

How does the repeat text generator work?
Enter your text and a repeat count, then pick a separator and whether to number each copy. The output rebuilds instantly below, and the copy button puts the whole result on your clipboard.
What separators can I use between copies?
New line puts each copy on its own row, space and comma keep everything on a single line, and none joins the copies with no character between them. The separator appears only between copies, not at the start or end.
What does the numbering option do?
It prefixes each copy with its position followed by a period, starting at one. Combined with the new line separator it produces a clean numbered list you can paste anywhere.
Is there a limit on the repeat count?
Yes. Counts are capped at ten thousand copies so your browser stays responsive, and very long output is trimmed to a length limit. When either cap applies, a note shows how many copies were produced.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent to a server, stored, or logged.
