Captions are centered along the top and bottom edges, the layout most meme templates use.

The captions are built to survive real text, not just two short words. A long line wraps onto several rows, a caption that is still too tall shrinks its font until the block fits inside the frame, and a single unbroken run like a URL is split so nothing spills past the edge. You can also add your own line breaks. The font size slider sets the starting size from 5 to 20 percent of the image width, and both the fill and the outline switch between white and black, which covers dark text on a light photo as well as the usual white-on-anything look.

Why is the caption always in uppercase?
The classic meme style is set in all capitals, so the tool uppercases whatever you type to match it. Type in lower case if you prefer; it is converted for display and in the downloaded image.
What happens if my caption is very long?
It wraps onto multiple lines automatically, and if the block is still too tall the font shrinks until it fits within the frame. A single long word with no spaces is broken so it never runs off the edge.
Can I put text only on the top or only on the bottom?
Yes. Fill in either field on its own, or both. An empty field simply adds no caption there, so a single top line or a single bottom line works fine.
Which image formats can I use?
JPEG, PNG, and WebP, whether dropped, browsed, or pasted from the clipboard. The meme is saved back in the same format, and very large images are downscaled to stay within browser limits.
Do emoji work in captions?
